This past week was the second film festival for Tarnished Claddagh at the Hollywood Florida Film Festival. Out of hundreds of film Tarnished Claddagh was on of just 89 that were selected to participate in the festival. We were also one of the only 51 films chosen for an in-person screening.
Tarnished Claddagh was shown at the HFFF on Tuesday 11/14/2023, and we we're so excited ton chare this film with everyone. It was also an amazing experience to watch other short film projects by so many talented filmmakers. Director Isaac Shilling and producer Val Gyorke also got to participate as speakers in a Q&A about our film, and were so excite to share their process!
The HFFF came to a close on Sunday 11/18/2023, with the awards gala. There were so many extraordinary films we were competing with, and we were honored to be feature alongside so many talented filmmakers. We were also so honored to take how the title of Best Student Short Film, which has give Tarnished Claddagh its second best short film win!
In other festival news, two of our most recent films were official selection for the Lights Camera Action! Film Festival on Friday 11/16/2023 - Fern and The Foreverglades.
The Foreverglades tells the story of Leah Jones as she reflects on a historical attack on the Everglades and how her friends were pulled into their scheme. It was wonderful to see the audience's reaction to this drama-horror film, and we're excited to see it in more festivals in the future.
Also premiering on Friday was Fern, which was Val Gyorke's directorial premiere.
Tarnished Claddagh continues on its film fest journey (next stop, the Central Florida Film Festival), and we can't wait to start The Foreverglades on its journey as well.
